Chemicals
The risks to human health and the environment from chemical exposure are managed via an extensive body of policy. We offer a deep understanding of chemicals legislation, particularly EU and UK REACH, and the Stockholm Convention on POPs. Members of our team have track records advising the United Nations, European Commission, the European Chemicals Agency, UK and European Governments on chemicals policy. Alongside this we work with individual chemical companies, trade associations and consortia to generate and test the evidence needed to respond to chemical policy

The Circular Economy
This involves a transition from a linear “make, use, dispose” model of resource consumption to a circular economy based on greater “reuse recycle and repair”. This transition interacts with virtually all policy areas. A central challenge is to protect and enhance economic activity whilst ensuring benefits to the environment and human health. Such a transition requires new business models, support for technological developments and innovation, with consumers having a central part to play.
