Amy Leake has recently joined Logika Group as a Senior Natural Capital Economist, bringing with her a decade of experience in economics, with a focus on natural capital and environmental economics. In her previous role at Ricardo, she worked on environmental policy projects for various government and private clients in the UK and EU, including organisations such as The Wildlife Trusts, Natural England, The Nature Conservancy and Defra. Amy played a key role in Natural Capital projects, developing Natural Capital Accounts (NCA) for clients including Bristol Water and Waterways Ireland.
Before joining Logika and Ricardo, Amy worked as a Senior Specialist in economics at Natural England. Whilst at Natural England, Amy provided economic support to programmes across the organisation including being the lead economist on an Environmental Land Management test and trial in North Devon, collaborating with 28 farmers.
Amy's earlier experience includes working in the Natural Capital Team at the Office for National Statistics, where she gained expertise in applying Natural Capital Accounting methods, specifically using the System of Environmental Economic Accounting methods. She authored various National NCAs for example, the Urban and Woodland NCAs.
In addition to her professional experience, Amy Leake holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham and a BA in Economics from Newcastle University.
