Assessment of Member State reporting on CO emissions and concentrations from MCPs as required by the Medium Combustion Plants Directive (MCPD), and contextualisation of reported values with wider ambient air quality data

Purpose of project

To support the Commission in assessing the environmental impact of CO emissions from MCP, and support the Commission in understanding whether there is a need for further regulation

What we are delivering

• Quantitative analysis of Member State reporting under the MCPD, at Member State and EU level

• Programme of stakeholder consultation to address gaps and inconsistencies in reporting

• Contextualisation of reported emissions and concentrations of CO from MCP with wider ambient air quality monitoring data

• Synthesis of conclusions and recommendations on the need to regulate CO emissions from MCP
